The results of the MRI are as follows:
FINDINGS: There is increased signal in the supraspinatus tendon. Remaining rotor cuff tendons appear normal. No abnormalities of the glenoid labrum or long head of biceps tendon are seen. There are hypertrophic changes of the acromioclavicular joint. There is caudal downsloping of the lateral acromion and a small amount of associated subacromial-subdeltoid edema is present.
CONCLUSION:1) supraspinatus tendonosis 2) Medial and lateral arch narrowing secondary to hypertrophic acromioclavicular joint changes and caudal downsloping of the lateral acromion respectively.
