Fax to the Benefits girl at work:
Enclosed is a copy of the doctor’s orders – “Modified Work Program” for 4 days. She said she didn’t want me moving my right shoulder at all (particularly to shift) until an MRI is done to rule out a torn rotator cuff.
The W/C carrier sent me to a dock-in-a-box called American Family Care here in town. The doctor did an xray, but explained that only an MRI would show muscle/tendon damage. American Family Care doesn’t have that equipment on site, and will have to arrange it with the W/C carrier. They’re going to call me when it’s all set up.
The W/C carrier also wanted a drug test, so we did that too. The doctor (can’t read/remember her name) also gave me a prescription for pain that’s being filled at CVS now. It’ll take a while to fill because CVS has to call the W/C carrier for billing info.
I don’t know what Operations wants to do about the load I’m under or my truck. The load is only bales of recycle going to Boise in Jackson AL, so I assume there’s no real big hurry. I sent Dispatch a message on the qualcomm about what the doctor said; and she asked if I could drive; and I told her “no”. I’ve kept dispatch abreast of the situation from the beginning, and I’m assuming they’ll call me here, at the house, if they want me to do anything.
I appreciate your help. Right now my shoulder is really hurting.
