Post 6    My Truckalogue

I talked to our Safety man this am. It's kinda cool because when I hired on at AMX, he was a/my recruiter. He knows me pretty well. I asked him about the status of my job now, since I no longer have a truck. Basically, he reassured me that when the doctor(s) release me they'd find a truck for me - even if it took a week or two. It would mean I'd have to wait for somebody to quit or be fired probably, but it made me feel a lot better because of the way they've reduced the fleet by more than 1/2 just since I've been there.

I'm not one their top producers though, and that worries me some. But I don't cause any problems either - do everything by the book and stay as clean as possible. It's a real trick to be a top producer and stay legal too - as you and the other drivers here well know. I think, if it came right down to it though, that our Safety Dep't would be on my side - and I think they have the final say when it comes to letting a driver go.
So to finish tonight's truckalogue, I'm just waiting for somebody to call me about the MRI - and getting sleepy from my pain pills.
