Our Safety Director, Dan Banner, is a great guy. Like I said somewhere before, he was a recruiter when I hired on. He called when I felt the most helpless. But he wasn't aware the W/C carrier can't pay me while I'm off, because the last "official" piece of paper they have is from a quack releasing me back to work.
I'll get one check out of the w/c carrier anyway; and my income tax refund will be a good one, so I'm not worried about money at this point. It's enough to know my company is standing behind me, and I most definately won't lose my job over this. What a relief!
My w/c person won't communicate via email, and I haven't felt like calling her. But I'm thinking it'll take a couple of weeks to get this "panel" together. I guess I'll get instructions in the mail or something. I'm just hoping they can find out what's really wrong. Maybe it's a pinched nerve, or something like that rather than rotator cuff problems.
In the meantime I've been working on my blog. It's been a fun thing to do - I've been messing with the html in the template, etc.
