Post 5 My Truckalogue
My dispatcher just called back. She's got a team on the way to get the truck. They're in the shop now, and it's a 3.5 to 4 hour drive up here. I gotta wait up for them. But at least dispatcher assured me I still had my job - she just needs the truck.
But I'm still uneasy. All drivers know we don't have any legal rights when it comes to our jobs. The company can say/do anything, and the driver usually doesn't have a leg to stand on. Even if we did, we couldn't afford to fight them in the courts.
Anyway, my brother stood on the ground while I handed stuff down to him from the truck. What a big help that was! We just piled it all in the back of the Blazer for now.
